Choose a handful of references and add a short note to each: the eye shape, the lip colour or the balance of the overall look. Separate photographs of makeup from pictures you like mainly because of the outfit or lighting.
Include one or two examples of finishes you do not want. Your artist can then understand both your inspiration and your boundaries. Treat the board as a starting point for discussion rather than a promise of an identical result.
